Chhattisgarh tape row: Now, Baghel cries threat to life
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Congress president, Bhupesh Baghel, who recently cracked the whip on the all-powerful Jogis for their alleged involvement in fixing of Antagarh-bypoll, has claimed that there is a threat to his life and has hinted that a repeat of Jiram Ghati massacre, in which several senior Congress leaders were killed, could happen.
Baghel’s claims comes close on the heels of similar fears expressed by the controversial Congress candidate for Antagarh by-poll, Manturam Pawar, the main player in the on-going audio tapes controversy.

Talking to media on Saturday, Baghel, who returned from Delhi on Friday evening after failing to get an audience from AICC president, Sonia Gandhi, due to her busy schedule, said fear looms large on people, who have been the whistleblowers in the audio tape case.
Though Baghel refrained from naming anybody, he said, shooters are roaming around, but I don’t care about them. However, the state Congress president added that his security had been increased by the state government in view of the prevailing threat.
Baghel said he had submitted a detailed report on the audiotapes to the party’s central disciplinary committee, and the high command would look into it for appropriate action. He said the audiotapes issue should be inquired either by the CBI or a retired judge as it has wide ramifications on the democratic process of elections.
Baghel said he had full faith in the Congress leadership and was sure that appropriate action would be taken at the right time.
